These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and govern all use of the SocietyConnect platform operated by Sahaj Connect ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform you accept these Terms on your own behalf and on behalf of the organization you represent.
You must be 18 or older and authorized to act for the society, club, trust, NGO or agency you register. You are responsible for the accuracy of information provided, for safeguarding your credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
SocietyConnect provides organization-management software (ERP), hosted public websites, document tooling and related services. We are a private technology platform: we are not a government body and registration of a society on our platform is not, and does not substitute for, registration with any statutory authority.
You agree not to upload unlawful, defamatory, infringing or misleading content; not to use the platform to collect funds for unlawful purposes; not to misrepresent your organization's registrations (e.g. claiming 80G status you do not hold); not to attempt to breach tenant isolation, probe, overload or disrupt the service; and not to send spam through the communication tools. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practicable.
Core features are free. Premium and Enterprise subscriptions are billed as described on the Pricing page, exclusive of GST. You may upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime; charges already paid are governed by the Refund Policy. We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice.
You retain all rights to the data your organization enters. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and process it solely to provide the service. You are responsible for having the right to upload the content you upload — including consent for personal data of your members, donors and beneficiaries.
Donation payments made through society pages settle directly into the receiving society's own bank/UPI account. We are not a party to the gift, do not hold funds, and are not responsible for a society's use of funds. Tax-exemption receipts are issued on the society's own registrations.
The platform software, design system, logos and documentation are owned by Sahaj Connect. These Terms grant no rights in them except the right to use the service. Society names, logos and content remain the property of their respective societies.
Payments (Razorpay), messaging (WhatsApp Business API), email delivery and social logins are provided by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions, though we choose and monitor them with care.
We target high availability but the service is provided "as is" and "as available"; maintenance windows and factors beyond our control may cause interruptions. Enterprise plans include a written SLA. Community and priority support levels are described on the Pricing page.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim in a 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in that period (or ₹2,000 where nothing was paid). Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your organization's content, its use of donations, its dealings with members, donors or authorities, or your breach of these Terms.
You may close your account at any time; export your data first. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach, unlawful activity, non-payment or extended inactivity, with notice where practicable. Sections that by nature survive (data provisions, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory law, courts at Guwahati, Assam have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, after a good-faith attempt at amicable resolution.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified at least 15 days in advance by email or console notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
